The Pre-Anaesthesia Screening is a critical pre-operative assessment scheduled days or weeks before a planned surgery. Its core purpose is to evaluate your medical health, identify perioperative risks, and ensure you are safely optimized for anesthesia

Job Responsibilities:

The incumbent shall be responsible to:

Conduct comprehensive and systematic pre-operative assessments for patients undergoing procedures requiring anaesthesia.

Review and evaluate patients' medical history, medication profiles, allergies, and investigation results.

Identify and assess perioperative risks, escalating concerns appropriately when necessary.

Provide pre-operative education, counselling, and support to patients and their families.

Interpret 12-lead ECG findings, recognise abnormalities, identify critical values in routine blood investigations, and escalate findings as appropriate.

Recognise early signs of clinical deterioration and promptly escalate concerns to the anaesthetist when required.

Perform venepuncture and carry out basic patient assessments, including monitoring and recording vital signs.

Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with established clinical protocols and patient safety standards.
