Medical Technologist [Healthcare, Office Hours 5 days] - Histology/ Respiratory / Microbiology/ Molecular

Job Description:

• Perform specimen analysis and report results accurately following established procedures
• Responsible for recognising deviation from expected results, analysing and correcting problems using scientific principles
• Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
• Assist in quality assurance processes and quality control procedures according to established recommendations
• Participate in internal and external quality assurance programmes
• Assist in other laboratory areas, including sample reception and sample storage as required
• Participate fully in the general housekeeping of the laboratory to maintain a clean and tidy working environment
• Monitors inventory and lab supplies in assigned area or department
• Trains or instructs laboratory personnel in performance of lab tests and procedures where assigned
• Additional duties and responsibilities as requested by manager

Job Requirements:

• Min BSc in Biomedical Science, BSc in Biotechnology or BSc in a related Science field and/or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in routine haematology, chemistry and urinalysis
• Willing to learn, positive attitude and must be a teamplayer
• Salary commensurate with experience
