The role is responsible for providing nursing support services in the Diagnostic Imaging Department and CVL and in leading the Code Blue Team in the event of a cardiac arrest within the Department/CVL.
- Assists the Radiologist/Cardiologist and other Specialists in Diagnostic Imaging procedure and invasive procedure in CVL. Also inserts brannula at radiologists instructions for contrast examinations.
- Prepares sterile trolleys and sets up equipments/ accessories for Diagnostic Imaging and CVL procedures.
- Performs Newborn Hearing Screening and ECG.
- Ensures that patients fill up the Consent Form for special examinations such as MRI, IVP, CT Scan and other invasive procedures etc
- Ensures that all special preparation for diagnostic imaging is instructed to ward staff/ patient or relatives and complied with.
- Explains the procedure of the special examination to patients and reassures patient whenever required.
