Radiographer (GOVT HOSPITAL) *IMMEDIATE* #HZT

• Perform general, portable (ward), theatre and emergency radiography.
• Perform IV cannulation and administer contrast media for radiological examinations, where required
• Perform duties in advanced imaging modality Nuclear Medicine or which they are trained
• Assist Radiologist in fluoroscopic procedures and other procedures as required
• Adhere to safe work practices especially in radiation safety and infection control
• Responsible for the safety and welfare of the patient
• Responsible for explaining the procedure to the patient
• Responsible for general housekeeping of procedure rooms and work areas
• Produce radiographs of diagnostic value
• Apply the ALARA principle for all procedures
• Guide and teach junior radiographers in their respective areas of work
• Ensure efficient running of their area of responsibility
• Coach junior radiographers in general radiographic techniques
• Participate in one or more departmental committees
• Coach junior radiographers in general radiographic techniques
• Perform any other duties assigned by superior
