Senior Medical Technologist (Haematology & Blood Bank)

The Role

•           Performs all tests procedures available in Main laboratory haematology & blood bank section.

•           Responsible for maintenance of the analysers , QC results during the course of duty.

•           To ensure correctly running the laboratory tests within the specific time frame and correct results given to doctor.

•           Responsible in day-to day operations of the section, inventory, quality control, evaluations and manpower in the section.

•           Responsible to prepare for audits.

•           Perform duties as assigned from time to time by management.

•           Working in conjunction with the laboratory business office, despatch team and technical staff to ensure total customer satisfaction.

•           Accuracy & Timeliness of patient results.

•           Maintenance of proper documentations and equipments

•           Frequency of continual medical education training and improvement program.

•           Adequate manpower and staffing daily for every shift.

•           Competent staff.

Qualifications & Experience

•           Recognised Certificate in Medical laboratory technology ,or Bachelor of Science Degree or Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent with several years of relevant working experiences.

•           Good interpersonal skills

•           Patient care /customer service oriented.

•           Able to teach and train.

•           Able to ensure quality assurance in section.
