Senior / Radiation Physicist *WEST* #HZT

You will be primarily responsible (80%) for the following:

• Radiation dosimetry, calibration and in-vivo measurements.
• Quality assurance of treatment machines, treatment planning systems and dosimetry equipment.
• Radiation safety measurements and administration.
• Radiation treatment plan quality assurance.
•  Equipment commissioning 

You will be secondarily responsible (20%) for the following:

• Professional development, training and orientation in all areas of radiation therapy physics.

Requirements: 

• A postgraduate degree in Medical Physics is preferred. A postgraduate degree in Physics or Engineering is also acceptable.
• 2 - 5 years of clinical experience preferred.

Skills Required

• Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
• Knowledge and understanding of current radiation therapy principles, methods, procedures, and techniques. 
• Knowledge and understanding of the operational characteristics, usage, and safety parameters of a comprehensive range of radiation therapy equipment and facilities. 
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops. 
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles, methods, and procedures 
• Knowledge of regulations, guidelines, and standards for the provision of medical physics/radiation therapy to patients.
